Had a really nice few days away, the park is well kept and my caravan, the lovely Victoria offered me to upgrade to was just outstanding and made my weekend, was so nice to have such friendly staff throughout the park. Victoria also popped out to speak to us when she see us passing reception it felt like she really cared. Will be back and would recommend.
Stayed at this park Oct half term. For the half term, there really wasn’t that many people there! It was good to be able to go to the bar and get served within seconds haha. It picked up later in the week. Had such a good time, friendly staff, restaurant food was good. Had a bit of trouble with breakfast as they weren’t very quick but other than that we had a really good week and would defo come back.
We first visited at the park in May and enjoyed it so much we stayed again in August. The park has a lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff are great. Noticed some changes in the entertainment team, but we were glad to see Charlotte was still there (she was my daughter favourite) she was fantastic with my daughter and got her to join in with the activities, thank you Charlotte you are a credit to the park. I would also like to mention Mick on the security gate, always had a smile and was a fountain of knowledge. We have stayed at many of the sites over the years and have found this park to be one of the best!
We booked a 3 night stay and were fortunate to be upgraded to a larger caravan which had a fabulous view of the Thames. On arrival we were greeted by a very jolly and helpful man who directed us to the booking in areas. He said there was a gazebo there but it was probably in Southend by now :-)
The poor lady was standing out in gale force winds and we did feel sorry for her but sadly, with covid 19, there wasn't any other way to check people in. She directed us to our caravan which we found easily enough and were pleasantly surprised to see how new and spotless it was...plus the view was amazing. We had a quiet weekend just taking a couple of short walks during each day due to the weather but it was relaxing and we had TV and all our supplies with us. The only down side to the whole weekend was the mini market...or rather the children running around unaccompanied and generally misbehaving. On departure we met the same jolly guy who had seen us in and he said he hoped to see us again. Highly recommend this site for a quiet away from it all holiday.
